Thank you for your interest in our Historical Marker Book. At this time the books (14 in the whole series) are having 276 old Historical plaques and newly erected markers added to the series. Many of the plaques predate the Historical Markers and a few are dated as early as 1915. We are restoring plaques using digital image enhancement to make the plaques look readable, which is a very long process. For those who have received a "proof copy," most photos in your copy were location photos. This means the photo taken was on the day I located it. I am now returning to each location to get a finished photo. This includes taking a picture of the subject of the Historical Marker and inserting the subject (Church, House, Mill, School, etc.) into the background. A much better book is in the works. The first books will be ready in the Summer of 2008. My printer will be the first to receive the updated series so he can give us a price. When the books are ready, they will be available on our website which will be in full operation. |
